Understanding and Responding to Human Trafficking and Slavery

The Understanding and Responding to Human Trafficking and Slavery training aims to raise awareness to public sector organisations to understand Modern Slavery Human Trafficking, learn to spot the signs and to provide those who have been designated as first responders with the knowledge and understanding they will require to carry out their responsibilities effectively and to be confident of using and understanding the National Referral Mechanism.

The legal duty of all public services is to notify all potential victims of modern slavery to the Home Office since the Modern Slavery Act in 2015, which makes this training especially relevant for Safeguarding colleagues working in the public sector in Wales.

The first responder training is a full day training, but as the training is being delivered on-line, it has been split in 2 parts and you must attend both days to complete the full training.
