Child Sexual Exploitation Training Sessions

A training workshop is taking place to support the implementation of the new ‘Wales Statutory Guidance on Safeguarding Children and Young People from Sexual Exploitation’.

The free sessions will be held online via Microsoft Teams and will take place on: Thursday, 31st March – 1:00pm until 4:30pm  REGISTER HERE

Please note that registration cannot be completed on Internet Explorer. An alternative is required, such as Google Chrome.

The session will focus on key areas in the guidance such as understanding child sexual exploitation as a form of sexual abuse, risk, child centred practice and intervention.

The session will set out key messages and facilitate practical discussion with the aim of supporting practitioners and safeguarding partners when responding to children and young people at risk of or abused through child sexual exploitation and related safeguarding issues. The session builds on and complements existing resources available through checkyourthinking.org

The session would welcome frontline practitioners and all those involved in safeguarding children and young people, including foster carers and those working in preventative services.
